What an amazing ride we are on – Partner and OneSource Founder, Dave Mount, reflects on the journey and the role that all of you have played in the 15 years of success that OneSource celebrates this month! What an amazing milestone to reach and we are so thankful for all who have contributed in any way and extremely excited to see what the future holds!
As we reflect on our 15th year in business, it occurs to us that the journey has been similar to a roller-coaster ride. Not intimating volatility, uncertainty and fear, but more like a real roller-coaster ride at a theme park which was always a thrill.
All the anticipation, planning, the dreaming, culminates in you taking your seat in the well-worn hard plastic seats which quickly find your hip bones as the marginally safe iron bar clicks loudly across your knees and you wonder “is this such a good idea?” Oh well, it’s too late now, so get ready!
This feeling is similar to what it felt like starting OneSource in 2003 and I would bet is how Henry Shurlds felt as he joined a small but busy outfit, not knowing if this new venture would succeed or careen calamitously off the tracks. Nevertheless, we jumped on this new ride, leaving the security of the known, yet eagerly anticipating the thrills of success and hoping and praying that it would not fail.
As a company, we’ve grown and contracted and grown again including our launch and subsequent successful sale of our I.T. Staffing segment. We are tremendously thankful for our team, who are pursuing excellence in our core areas of engineering, leadership and financial search who enjoy pursuing their passion and like adrenaline junkies getting back on the coaster time after time.
It is inspiring that our clients and candidates trust and allow us to become part of their life and we are highly grateful for their joining us on the thrill ride of life, career and often times becoming long lasting friends.
So as we reminisce on 15 years in business, we are very proud to have our awesome team growing and serving our clients in oil and gas, midstream, finance/accounting, engineering services and chemical/refining industries.
Thanks to all of you both inside and outside of OneSource who have made, and will continue to make what we do thrilling and sometimes challenging, but always satisfying and a highly worthwhile calling.
